At Tree Putty, we create bespoke picture frames that are made to measure and crafted entirely by hand in England. Using responsibly sourced English hardwoods such as oak and ash, each frame is thoughtfully designed to complement the artwork or object it holds. Whether you’re framing an original artwork, a photograph, or something deeply personal, we take the time to ensure the finished piece feels considered, balanced, and made to last.
Our Bespoke Framing Process
Step

Initial enquiry
Get in touch with a brief description of what you’d like to frame, along with dimensions and any preferences you have. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to guide you.

Design & wood selection
We’ll discuss suitable frame styles and select the most appropriate English hardwood to complement your piece — whether that’s oak, ash, or another hardwood.

Handcrafting your frame
Your frame is carefully handcrafted in our workshop using traditional techniques, with attention paid to proportion, grain, and finish.

4.
Finishing & fitting
The frame is finished by hand and, where required, your artwork is carefully fitted to ensure it is secure and beautifully presented.

5.
Collection or delivery
Your completed frame is ready for collection or can be carefully packaged and delivered.
